Day 14-18

Posted by bmkeeler on September 30, 2009

Last week was INSANE…hence, my delayed posts. For the most part, here’s what went down clothing-wise:

MONDAY:

Day 14

Day 14

This bubble skirt is great…plus any skirt/dress that has pockets is an absolute winner in my book.

TUESDAY:

Day 15

Day 15

I bought these patent red flats when I was in France…seriously, one of my favorite purchases…ever! I’m also loving my new light gray cords.

WEDNESDAY:

Day 16

Day 16

The funniest thing about Wednesday was that I matched another lady in the office…and we sat by each other in a meeting most of the day.

THURSDAY:

                                                                      Day 17
Day 17

If you hadn’t already noticed…this was my “bumble bee” day. Normally I try not to wear black and yellow together for this exact reason….but this is what happens when I dress before I’m fully awake. Brings a whole new level to “queen bee”…

FRIDAY:

Day 18

Day 18

So…yeah, on Friday I wore a light blue button up shirt with a white tank, classic khakis and white flats….and my director wore a light blue button-up and khaki pants. Throughout the day, we were teased about our coordinating attire…one co-worker asked if we had a tennis doubles match at the country club after work…and another nicknamed us Buffy and Biff for the day. I have no problem with being called Buffy…as long as this is the mental association.

Day 9

Posted by bmkeeler on September 14, 2009

I was pretty excited about wearing my new Gap Hip Slung Khakis today (the top…eh, not so much). My granny gave me the pants as a birthday gift [ie. she gave me the cash to go shopping, and this is what I bought with the money].

But before I further comment on my pants…let me discuss my shirt. Every time I wear this top (and I forget this until I’m actually wearing it)…I feel like a milkmaid. I’m not really sure why I have this mental association, considering milkmaids probably don’t sport plaid, deep-V, pouffy sleeve, baby-doll style blouses….but I do. Therefore to mimic my imagination…(cue yodelers)…this picture should have been taken in a picturesque field featuring Heidi roaming around in the background with a goat or something.

Day 9

Day 9

Now, let’s talk about these slacks….I have two big issues with these pants:

1. Even though I purchased these pants approximately two weeks ago, and they fit perfectly…they are now practically a size too big. Most people would be delighted with this revelation…but this just ticks me off.

2. The pants make a “wheeeeeeet wheeeet wheeeeeeet” sound when I walk (think of the sound that corduroy makes [or the squeal of a small pig]…it’s fairly similar to that…but [possibly] more annoying). I find myself blushing as I scurry down the hallways….especially since walking faster only amplifies the problem. Instead, a slow mosey (waddling like a bow-legged cowboy) is the most questionable, yet best result-driven option. I just don’t mosey well.

All of this combined makes me feel like this:

    Milkmaid-esque, sound-effect-making Monday

    Happy Monday!
